After 24 hours of observation in Neonatal, without anyone talking to us about what was going on, consulting us or getting our consent for any treatment or care they were giving her, Angeline is finally delivered to our room. Apparently they were concerned for her health, simply because she was so big! i guess they don't normally get 9+ "lb'nders" here in Vietnam! We are delighted to finally have her with us in our room, but worry what they did to her behind closed doors for 24 hours!
We really missed that early bonding, and I believe that they started her on formula, which is going to make it harder now to get her breast feeding .....
If I could speak the language, I would go and complain! But people here in VN, consider it rude to say anything to or against authority figures, so nothing gets said and practices like this continue unchecked!
